A note from our Executive Director
What brings most people to Interfaith for the first time is a need for help with the basics like keeping food on the table or a roof overhead. And, for hardworking families, beyond a need for help with the basics (like food) are complex issues that keep them stuck in chronic economic hardship -- underemployment being one of them. The growing gap between real incomes and increased costs of living, low-wage jobs that offer limited hours and/or benefits, and a skills gap for people competing in an ever-changing job market, require comprehensive approaches to close that gap. Host a drive, make 9x the impact
According to HungerSolutions.org, in 2017, Minnesotans visited food shelves the highest number of times in recorded history. Hunger in our community is hard to see, but it is real. Now is the perfect time to start planning a food and fund drive with your faith community, neighborhood, co-workers, book club or civic group. There are plenty of ways to get involved and help Interfaith during the Prevent Hunger campaign (March 1-31). Every $1 donated leverages $9 in goods. Feed families, fuel hope »
